Role Alignment
We’ve been throwing around the term, “role alignment.” Let’s dive into what that means. Forbes claims that it can be looked at in different ways. Role alignment can be “getting everyone on the same page,” as a more long-term goal, or “understanding everyone’s role.”
People adapt and change, as a hiring manager that should be included in the recruitment process. An employee may apply for a role with all the qualifications, however, they may not be the best fit for the specific role or company.
During the hiring process, the right questions must be asked to consider role alignment and company culture. This can look something along the lines of:
- What’s a long-term goal you want to achieve?
- How do you feel best motivated?
- What environment do you work best in?
- Which of our company values resonate with you the most?
This is just the starting point to understanding role alignment.
