CEO Spotlight: Kristi Pastore

News
Kristi Pastore CEO of Culture Works

At Culture Works, we understand that leadership is one of the most important ways to foster great culture. Our fearless leader, Kristi Pastore, is one of the best examples of creating a community to drive success throughout our company. So, we’ve decided to give you a little insight into what inspires her and how she’s gotten to where she is, CEO of Culture Works. Here’s our CEO Spotlight with Kristi Pastore:

CEO Spotlight Kristi Pastore

Q: What is one fact about your education or upbringing that few people know?

A: My work ethic, and the emphasis I place on it, comes from my mom. Growing up I watched her work her ass off to build her business. She was the co-owner of a weed control company, but was always working two or three jobs at once. Her work ethic is inspiring, she did everything she possibly could to provide for us.

I grew up on an 80-acre ranch in Northern California. When I was younger I helped tend to the ranch. My neighborhood consisted of chickens, ducks, a horse, go-carts, motorcycles, ponds, a garden, lots of forts, and a few rescue and family dogs (a pack of 25 to be exact).

I loved how I grew up, and I appreciate everything that it taught me; the importance of hard work, the value of a home-grown lifestyle, and so many unforgettable memories.

I entered the workforce at the age of 13, selling oranges at the swap meet. After that, my resume gets a little more robust, here’s a short breakdown:

  • Cleaned houses
  • Flipped burgers at Carl’s Jr
  • Made Subway sandwiches
  • Ran a video rental store
  • Waitressed
  • Made computer chips
  • Served on a hazmat team
  • Held numerous sales positions
  • Became a U-Haul reservation manager
  • Tended bar
  • Guided model home tours
  • Was a facilities manager
  • Worked as a receptionist
  • Was a financial services marketing rep
  • Worked as a financial services assistant for accounting, management, and operations.

Just to name a few…
