CULTURE CONNECTIVITY FOR YOUR PURPOSE, PEOPLE AND PROCESSES.
2020 has been a roller coaster for most people. With the drastic changes that have occurred in the workplace, it has led to a new reality of work from home and zoom meetings. These changes can cause the wellbeing of your employees to hinder. Not only do we need to focus on the physical health of our employees, but also their mental health, social health, and financial health.
What ways can you support your employees’ wellbeing during this unprecedented time?
One of the most important wellness factors that leaders need to focus on is their employee’s physical health. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and an employee’s wellbeing has never been so important. Encourage your employees to move their bodies, eat healthy goods, and ensure their mental well being is in check. One way you can encourage physical activity is to host a company-wide Zoom yoga class!
Another touchpoint for this uncertain time is to be concerned about the financial wellbeing of your employees. Giving your employees the ability to pay their bills and manage their expenses is extremely important to giving your employees a piece of mind. Encourage them to find good ways to save their money and invest in their 401(k).
As far as your employees’ career wellness is concerned, see what ways you can ensure that your employees feel engaged and empowered to excel. Set goals for each employee, and ensure that you have performance reviews on a regular basis. Be sure that you communicate their potential growth path if they continue to work hard. Don’t forget to relay how important each employee’s work is to achieve the common goals of the company.
During such a socially distant time, you also have to consider your employee’s social wellness during this time. Social isolation can be trying on anyone. People want to feel connected to one another, like they are part of a whole. Not having in-office interactions can be difficult for people while they are at home. Implementing Zoom happy hours, and connecting with outside of work conversations is important to ensure your employees feel connected to one another.
Your employees’ wellbeing is vital to the success of your organization. When your employees are happy and healthy, they are more productive. We understand that you people are the center of success for your business. Need help optimizing your culture to improve your organization? Contact us to see how!
