  • How Can You Turn Your Company’s Purpose Into an Effective Strategy?

5 WAYS TO LEAD YOUR TEAM THROUGH THESE UNCERTAIN TIMES

CULTURE WORKS – WE KEEP YOU TOGETHER WHEN SOCIAL DISTANCING KEEPS YOU APART!

CULTURE CONNECTIVITY FOR YOUR PURPOSE, PEOPLE AND PROCESSES.

How Can You Turn Your Company’s Purpose Into an Effective Strategy?

Determining the purpose of your business is one of the most important things you can do. Your company’s purpose should inform the decisions you make to move your organization forward. Developing a purpose can be challenging, and acting on that purpose proves even more difficult. How can you turn your company’s purpose into strategy?

purpose into strategy

Let’s start with developing your purpose. Consider what your organization’s reason for beginning is. Where did you begin? What has come together to put you where you are now? What makes your company unique among your competitors? Consider these questions to identify where you can differentiate yourself among others, and understand the values behind your business.

If you want to leave your old purpose behind and consider taking a forward approach to your business, you have to consider other things. Consider what broader ecosystem you want your business to work in. In that ecosystem how can you make an impact? When you view the future of your business you can begin looking toward your current purpose.

Once you have considered the purpose you want your business to be centered on, you will want to start implementing a business strategy that aligns with it. Your purpose should be that starting point for your actions that turn into strategy.

As a leader, there are a few things to consider when making purpose central to your strategy. First, you have to ensure that your leadership agenda aligns with your purpose. If your leaders act on the central purpose of your organization it will trickle down into the rest of your workforce.

With this, you have to understand how you will translate your purpose throughout the organization. This means ensuring every decision you make aligns with the central message behind your business. If you are an eco-friendly centered company and that is stated in your purpose, all your decisions should align with being eco-friendly. You could utilize solar panels, encourage your employees to use eco-friendly ways to commute to work, or implement eco-friendly materials throughout your company.

When your purpose aligns with your strategy, you will create a company that is unified and has a lasting impact on the world we live in. At Culture Works, we believe that your purpose drives everything within your company. We want to help you optimize your purpose to create a company culture that thrives.
