Working with an outsourcing company: What you need to know

If your human resources team feels like they don’t have enough time in the day to contribute to crafting your company culture in a profound way, you may want to consider hiring a fractional HR team. At Culture Works, our team sets out to assist your HR professionals with all their operational processes. Let’s dive deeper into how a fractional human resources team can help your organization see greater success.

Outsourcing vs Fractional

Outsourcing can mean a variety of things. It can mean completely relying on the outsourced team instead of hiring an in-house team. On the other hand, it can be a partnership between your existing team with a company that performs similar or complementary functions. An outsourced team is often a replacement for an in-house team or role.

Fractional relationships are more like adding another team member (or a few) to your organization on a part-time basis. Hiring a fractional HR team to partner with your in-house HR stakeholder or team involves a more strategic partnership. In a fractional relationship, the fractional team acts as a member of your organization while they are working with you.

Fractional HR services are essentially like hiring part-time employees to assist your existing team. It’s a partnership rather than a replacement. At Culture Works, we believe in fractional human resources created to optimize your company’s human resources and company culture.

Outsourced Company

An outsourced company is going to cost more money for your business. With an outsourced company, it is important to define the roles and goals of the partnership. This includes setting regular meetings with both teams to make sure everyone is on the same page.

When to Hire a Fractional HR Team

Fractional HR relationships are built on the idea of adding another team member (or members) to your existing team. The fractional team partners with your in-house HR stakeholder and team to develop a strategic partnership.

When you hire a fractional team, you experience something similar to hiring a part-time employee or team of employees. This idea behind fractional relationships is a partnership rather than a replacement.

Outsourcing is a more general term as it relates to outside assistance for various needs. If you choose to outsource, you could be hiring a replacement team instead of an in-house team, or it could be more fractional in nature.

Hiring a fractional HR team is actually more cost-effective than hiring another team member or two. HR Generalists typically have a salary of around $70,000- $80,000. An HR Specialist makes around $60,000. Not to mention the benefits, vacation, and other expenses that go along with hiring a new team member. When you hire a fractional HR team, you receive four experts in HR for the price of one!
